Comparison of Jesus' birth and death

From Jesus' birth, we know what he was wrapped in: swaddling clothes, as stated in Luke 2:7. And when Jesus died, he was wrapped in linen cloths, as stated in John 19:40. So, in a sense, you could say that Jesus' life and death are framed by cloth. A cave was borrowed for his burial and also served as the place of his birth. He and his parents had no place to stay, so they went to a cave/stable. And in his death, Jesus is placed in a borrowed cave/tomb. So Jesus' life and death are framed by cloth and a cave!

There's even more! When Jesus is about a year and a half old, some wise men from the East travel to visit the child, and the two gifts I can understand are frankincense and gold, but what about myrrh? Do you know what myrrh is? Myrrh is a liquid used for embalming, or an element used to prepare a body for burial. But why are the wise men giving a child myrrh as a gift? Because the wise men knew something; this child was not a normal child. But notice this: at his birth, the wise men come with gifts of myrrh; at his death, the apostle John says that Nicodemus buries him with myrrh, in fact, with 75 pounds of myrrh. Myrrh frames his life.

But there's more. Joseph, his father, is present at his birth to welcome Jesus into the world. When Jesus dies, Joseph of Arimathea lends him the cave or tomb for his burial. The witnesses at Jesus' birth and death are literally the same.

At Jesus' birth, after Jesus is born, he is taken to the temple on the eighth day, and the first person waiting for him is a woman named Anna the prophetess, and she says, "I have been waiting for you for years and years." At Jesus' death, who sees Jesus first after he is resurrected? It is Mary Magdalene who is the first to see him.

At Jesus' birth, angels came and, through an angelic choir, announced to the shepherds that Jesus had been born, but at his death, angels also appeared. They announced it to Mary Magdalene and said to her, "Why are you looking among the dead for the one who lives?"

There are no coincidences or accidents; it is true.
