Second Thessalonians 2:6-7  reads, "And you know what is restraining him now so that he may be revealed in his time. For the mystery of lawlessness is already at work. Only he who now restrains it will do so until he is out of the way." Who is this restrainer? First, it is clear from this passage that the restrainer is holding back sin and lawless living. A wide variety of options have been suggested, including government, preaching, the binding of Satan, the church, the Holy Spirit, or even the angel Michael. The context of the passage speaks of someone or something that restrains the  Antichrist  from being revealed until the proper time. To have this level of power, the restrainer must be something supernatural and most likely something good. This would remove the options of Satan, evil spirits, or human government. Further, only God has the power to overcome the power of Satan. Therefore, the church or angels would not be the restrainer mentioned here. Most likely, th...

Segunda de Tesalonicenses 2: 6-7 dice: "Bien saben que hay algo que detiene a este hombre, a fin de que él se manifieste a su debido tiempo. Es cierto que el misterio de la maldad ya está ejerciendo su poder; pero falta que sea quitado de en medio el que ahora lo detiene." ¿Quién es este personaje que lo detiene? Primero, es claro a partir de este pasaje que se está deteniendo una completa manifestación del pecado y una vida de iniquidad. Se ha sugerido una amplia variedad de opciones, incluido el gobierno, la predicación, el encadenamiento de Satanás, la iglesia, el Espíritu Santo o incluso el ángel Miguel. Otra de las herejías de la iglesia, antes de que todo fuera creado, Dios ya existía. Resplandecía en su propia gloria. Dios hace la creación y la creación esta en Dios. Todo lo que ocurría en Dios estaba dirigida por una mente divina que expresaba el supremo bien. El hombre elige su propia gloria, en vez de la gloria de Dios, y es destituido de esa gloria. Ahora, el hombre ya no está en Dios. Dios está con el hombre, está con su pueblo, pero ya no está en Dios. En el antiguo pacto, Dios estaba con su pueblo, pero no estaba en su pueblo. No estaba en el hombre. La solución que Dios propone a un hombre destituido de la gloria de Dios, es incluirnos en ÉL. La manera que Dios obra en el antiguo pacto es completamente distinta a la forma que actúa en el nuevo pacto. Nosotros somos ministros. Debemos ser ministros competentes del nuevo pacto. En la Biblia encontramos dos leyes (mejor conocidas como testamentos). Sus reglas son distintas; por lo tanto, es imposible guardar las dos juntamente. Pero eso no las hace que se contradigan, pues el mismo Dios es autor de ambas. Antes bien, fueron escritas para dos épocas distintas. La ley antigua sirvió muy bien para su época en particular; la nueva sirve muy bien ahora. Consideremos las dos con sus detalles. La ley de Moisés En el Monte Sinaí, Dios le hizo entrega de una ley al pueblo de Israel y le ordenó a Moisés que la escribiera. Por esa razón esa ley se llegó a conocer como la  ley de Moisés . El Nuevo Testamento a veces se refiere a ella como “la ley”, mientras que al nuevo orden que Cristo instituyó lo refiere como “la gracia”. Bajo aquella antigua ley, Dios declaró principios morales.
